Regular styles are styles that don't involve any crossunders or too much merging except on the sides, and go from front to back.  They can usually be done within 2 hours on medium length hair, but can take up to 4 hours on longer hair or with extensions. 

Designer styles are styles that involve special techniques such as braiding hearts, names, stars, dollar signs, or other custom work.  It is advised only for people with either curly or fairly long hair of an even length.  If it turns out to be easier than expected (meaning that it takes the same amount of time as a regular style) you will only be charged for the regular style price.  To increase the chances of this, it helps to bring a sketch or photo.

Celebrity styles such as "the Iverson" and others can take 5 or more hours to complete, and often involve 50 or more very small rows.  The one in this picture required 80.  Not all styles that celebrities wear will be so complicated.  Some will fit within the Regular or Designer category.

These are styles that are done only on the front half or 2/3 of the head.  Most people who do this have long hair they just want to pull back away from the face in an interesting way.  There's just one price for this, because most designs aren't too complex.

These styles are only for people with fairly long hair, or who wish to have extensions.  They are mostly based on crossunders and/or merging, and can take 4 or more hours to complete.  A straight grid such as the style in the picture often called the "Belgian waffle", may take less time simply because I'm used to it.  However, a more complex grid style can take longer.

These are regular braids done with geometric parting.
